  Clean and basic accommodation in Watson Lake. The baseboard heat struggles to keep the rooms warm in the winter, but an additional heater is provided. Good restaurant and bar. Super friendly.

  The room I got I paid $136 a night, it's worth about $70. It's a combination of 1980s used furniture, ugly, kitsch wall paper, crappy paint, industrial, ugly ceramic tiles and the smell of strong cleaner or cheap air freshner.

  Maybe Watson Lake is meant to be a "pass-through" town instead of a "stay-the-night" town. Seems like people here are just not friendly. Receptionist couldn't be bothered about customer service. Room rate did not include breakfast and the attached diner looked sketchy. WiFi is free only up to a pittance of MB, after that you have to pay an arm and a leg. Comfortable bed, but that's about it.

  I ordered a buffalo burger from the pub, for almost $15 and got a dry burger worth about $5. All cheap ingredients and little of them. If you're going to charge that much, make it a good meal, you can get a better burger from a fast food place.

  Front desk staff very friendly. Room was ok; bedding was scratchy. Only major annoyance: Met my internet quota before I left the next morning :-/
